2021+ Model S LR Delivery Tracking

For those like me who waited to order until seeing updated MSLR reviews, the issue is price not timing. When the $5k price increase was announced, I placed my order correctly (luckily) assuming high demand and low supply would bring more price increases. For those in similar situation, I'd recommend ordering now as further increases may occur. Following this thread for a while, I'll guess my February delivery date will be between then and June!

I ordered a few days before you (3/12) and got an EDD this morning of October 10 - October 30. My Details: RN1146 LR/W/C/19/noFSD. I'm in San Diego. Where are you located?

Ohio. As I read more and more of these posts, I am more confident the dates are accurate.

I am optimistic that Tesla will deliver my car this year given my new estimate of October 7 to October 27. It does appear that they have finally figured out how to produce the cars.

I talked to my SA today. Knows Tesla well. He believes these dates released today are going to be accurate.

It's gotta be due to allocations to service centers, none of this makes any sense.

Could be shipping challenges. Every freaking part of the supply and delivery chain is FUBAR right now. Not just for Tesla, but everywhere... for my gutter replacement company, my dining room table maker, and my bike manufacturer. It's a mess all over. Today is real progress on these LR orders. It's a good day.

In the same boat, thinking these dates are solid. Too many date ranges (with actual numbers, not months) all the way through the end of 2021.

As I did the main Model S thread, I will be the first to admit that I was wrong when people were seeing month plus differences from what was in their account page. Clearly that was more accurate and I was wrong there.

LR is not profitable there for 2 price increase within weeks. I have a feeling its going up again within a month.

Not unless they want to price themselves out of the market. $90K is nuts already.

And what makes you think it is not profitable for Tesla? Source?

Spoke to someone on the inside cost of producing has gone up including labor, cost of chips, parts etc.

I have the same config & got the same date window. But I had ordered mine May 20th, 2021.

That’s about as vague and weak a source as “my SA told me”.

Unless you were speaking directly to Zachary Kirkhorn, your source is full of it.

The only thing that could move some from 2022 back into 2021 would be the fact that these date ranges are typically two to three weeks long. As they shrink, your order could be pulled forward.
