Have you gotten this email? I got this email and then a VIN showed up in my account a few minutes later.

I am excited to see deliveries but disappointed by Tesla when I see deliveries to people who ordered a Model S/LR two or more months after me with the same colors and wheels that I ordered. It appears that we all have our order numbers in a hat, and the supreme chooser draws the numbers randomly as the cars are produced.

We have close numbers and dates. Let’s hope they stay in 2021!

Just wonder how you switched back to finance/lease, do you have to call your SA?

I changed mine by sending an email to [email protected] - They responded right away.

I thought I remember someone saying this is actually the local clubs putting these together. Apparently the Atlanta club doesn't do these as I haven't heard of anyone around here getting an orientation. they are also generic to Tesla and not to the Model S. Don't take too much weight to this email meaning a VIN is imminent.

It means a VIN in 3 days. I’m set on that now!

I thought I remember someone saying this is actually the local clubs putting these together. Apparently the Atlanta club doesn't do these as I haven't heard of anyone around here getting an orientation. they are also generic to Tesla and not to the Model S. Alright… tomorrow is the first day of my EDD. Seems like a lot of folks on here with the late November EDD got VINs this weekend. Anyone else in the 11/15-11/30 range still waiting on a VIN or am I just the lucky one?

I would be the guy who wouldn’t click on this. The fact they say “Hello from Tesla”, and they’re not from Tesla, speaks volumes to its authenticity. If it does come from a Tesla club, you’d think they’d say, “Hello from Tesla club”. Seems like a phish to me.

I received my VIN exactly one day before my EDD range was to begin. Good luck!

Nice, what's your exact build? RN1150 here, taking delivery in Austin - and Nov 28-Dec 18. Hoping comes on time at least here. My EDD hasn't moved in like 7-8 weeks now.

If they said hello from Tesla I wouldn’t trust it as authentic. If it said F U from Tesla I’d figure it’s authentic.

That was my experience. Of course, when I asked my SA about correlation between invitation to orientation and forthcoming VIN, he said there was no correlation. Then VIN appeared 3 days later. And, my invitation was from local Tesla SC, not from a club.

“Promise” is a strong word. Lol.

Oldest order, not sure - but I ordered MSLR White/Cream 19" no FSD on 12/24/20 (RN11432xxxx), and current EDD is 12/8-12/31. So basically a 1-year wait. No changes to my order during the entire time.

Yes. Exchanged emails with an SA because I ended up buying my lease as the EDD continued to slide and needed to move to a trade in. It's 100% legit.
