2022.12.3.1 subwoofer & immersive sound vanished

Noticed my ability to adjust subwoofer and immersive audio vanished. I updated to 2032.12.3.1 a week or so ago.

Solution was to reboot the infotainment. Went back to audio settings / tone gui and the missing items were now back.

Same here, I thought my front pillar speaker was dead, but then noticed the audio settings were not showing the immersive sound and subwoofer options. Restarting the infotainment fixed it.

That said, I had already restarted it multiple times since the last update (2032.12.3.1) to fix issues with sentry mode (plenty of times I see event notifications when I enter the car, but no no clips have actually been recorded).

Thus, despite a restart temporarily fixes the issue, these audio settings vanish at some point and another restart is still needed.

It broke for me in 2022.12.3.1 as well but it seems to be fixed in 2022.12.3.2 which installed yesterday. YMMV but so far (24h and 150+ miles) it looks to be fixed.

I have the same issue with my M3P. The immersive sound screen disappears and the standard one returns. I reboot and immersive is back only to disappear again within a day. What gives?

Checked mine after downloading 2022.12.3.1 and all is well.

i have a M3 loaner for a couple weeks, noticed it had independent Subwoofer control. I didn't remember seeing it in my new MYP

Ditto to this. (2018 M3 LRRWD 2022.12.3.2)
Immersive sound and Sub slider gone. Reset restores them, but then reverts again after car "sleeps" for a while when parked. Been happening since update about 3 weeks ago or so.

Not me. No issue there. Though with my subwoofer set up, I keep the subwoofer level at -1 anyway

I confirm this issue still occurs on my 2021 M3 AWD 2022.12.3.2.
Apparently, this might occur when sentry mode is activated.
I'll submit a support ticket to see if they're aware of this.

Hi Mikey, my 2021 M3 AWD got the 2022.16.3 update last week and, after a few days, I still have the subwoofer/immersive sound options there. Which version are you on?
