2022 LR range - throttling?

I own a 2022 LR M3 with now 86000 km driven. Up until literally 2 days ago, my 90% charge has been consistent at 492-494km range after charging. ( Brand new the max 100% range was 570km or 512-513 at 90%. )

Last 2 days it has shown 466/467km at 90% with zero diff to tires, weather, driving style etc. what the??

I did receive an update a few days back so I seriously hope Tesla hasn’t started to change or throttle down range on used cars as they did with model S years ago. Was a marketing disaster for them trying to justify it with ‘battery longevity’ bs when ot was more about obsolescence.

2024.2.6 changed the way range was estimated to account for the age of the battery. Maybe that explains the difference you’re seeing. In any case, the estimated range is just that and less important than your actual driving range.

Hmmm… I’m now on .7 so maybe that did it?

Good point. Well we have a long 550km trip coming up so will be able to gauge actual range then. Thx for info.

Hmm interestingly our 22’ MYP did the same thing. Was at 405km at 90% and all of a sudden now 380km at 90% within days.

I’ll circle back when I have actual real world driving results. This doesn’t seem right to me.

Well, if your '22s are losing that much "estimated range", after this update my 2020 will show 20 km at 100%!
