Unfortunately, it’s normal.I took delivery of 2023 MY early in Feb, just washed my car today and noticed that the hood is really flimsy
When i wipe the hood, i can easily press down the hood using 1 finger with minimum pressure... is this normal or that i got a bad one
errr... damn i went out and just checked other cars, it is paper thin in comparisonUnfortunately, it’s normal.
They made it quite flimsy.
that only upgrades the structs right not the actual frunk hood right?lol very normal....better upgrade to automatic frunk closing kit.

sometimes we put stuff on the hood, that habit needs to change now...
This.Plus the hood is aluminum
It's stronger than you think ... just very flexible ...Thanks for confirming, will see how it hold up, hopefully noone accidently press on it too hard...
but i suppose it's not as thin as MY, and the slide dome shape contribute to the worryCars have had aluminum hoods for decades for weight savings. They are not as fragile as you think. My last BMW had an aluminum hood.
This forum has many threads and posts about hood worry. But there are very few with actual hood damage. (Well, a tree fell on one person's car and dented the hood, but that is explainable.)but i suppose it's not as thin as MY, and the slide dome shape contribute to the worry
