22 Performance 19” wheels guide?

Is there a way to tell if an aftermarket 18“ or 19” wheel would fit M3P?

No, not by looking at the pics.
But reputable wheel dealers, like TireRack.com , Ttsportline.com , or EAS (as well as others), do fitment testing and will publish which of their 18" and 19" wheels will fit TM3P.

I’m looking to downgrade when I get mine but not too sure which would fit. Does the M3P come staggered from the factory?

TM3P wheels are square (all four wheels and tires are the same size).

To add to what @Evpowerdan said, you have to be careful with 18s because not all of them clear the breaks on the performance.

If you have any particular wheels that you are looking at, post them and we can probably help you.
Is there a way to tell if a wheel will clear the brakes? I’m looking at these. Are there any you would recommend that have a similar look?

Do not quote me on this, but I am pretty sure any 19' option will fit with regards to the breaks, however, maybe someone can pitch in and add to this.

The following are in a similar price range and look similar, and I have seen other forum members running them:

1 - FlowForm RF05RR | Superspeed Wheels
2 - Avant Garde Wheels | AG M580-R | AG Classic R Series
3 - V804 | VMR Wheels
4 - Ampliform - Konig Wheels
5 - RF2 Hyper Silver

Some higher-end options:

1 - HF-5 - Vossen Wheels
2 - https://bcforged-na.com/monoblock/
3 - https://www.signaturewheel.com/1-piece-monoblock
4 - https://bbs.com/en/product-details/CI-R

I am sure I am missing a lot of them, but that's what comes to mind at the moment.

The wheels you posted from tire rack "ASA - GT14 - Gloss Gunmetal Silver Painted, 19x8.5" appear from their site to work and the last review of those wheels was from a 2018 Tesla Model 3P owner (go read it). Tire wise, you could go 235/40/19 (OEM stock) or 245/40/19 for a little rim protection. I would call tire rack, as they are very knowledgeable in wheels and tires - they do a ton of test and fitment.

If you are changing from the 20"x9" Uberturbine with +34mm offset then to keep the outside of the wheel the same distance from the fender you need a wheel with a +28mm offset. Most of the wheels you see have a +35mm offset. This will set the outside of the wheel 1mm (.039") deeper into the finder. I think a better choice would be +20 to +25 offset to set the wheel out a little.
