3rd Delivery Date, No Information

For no reason whatsoever, the delivery date has been pushed back 3 times. This one has nothing to do with financing as I paid in full 50 days ago. The VIN was assigned 60 days ago. Just a warning that Tesla has the absolute most abysmal customer service I've ever dealt with. They make Spectrum and Microsoft customer service look impeccable. I would drive to California and pick it up myself if they didn't tell me it was in Illinois now, because that's on the way to Texas.

Any delivery excitement is turned to resentment. I can't be excited for this car anymore. It's not even the fanciest of anything, plain black, long range battery, with self driving, blah blah blah. No performance, no AWD, nothing fancy.

After calling 3 different places this morning, I finally found someone who could tell me that the car is IN Austin, but that my delivery date is next Tuesday, so they'll see me then. Ummmm. No. Do better.

Never once offered a reason for it to take this long.

That is insane. I'm on day 41 since full payment, with no delivery date in sight. Do you feel calling around got you your vehicle faster in these last days? I'm getting no info from my IDA and at this point I'm considering contacting the Texas AG. I'm also in Austin.

I don't feel like calling around had any effect on anything. They tell you that they're escalating your call to their management, but that doesn't seem to mean anything. The next time you call you basically have to tell them again all the steps you have already gone through and how your ISA doesn't answer their phone or emails, and "no, I won't talk to them anymore, I'm talking to you, what can YOU do to help me". Talk to the service center where it's being delivered. I talked to them too late in the game to know how much they can help, but once I did, they bent over backwards to help me out, including giving me first pick of delivery dates of the 5 cars that were delivered that day.

I doubt the Texas AG cares, since Tesla does not have a dealership here. Also I just don't trust any public official under indictment to have my best interest at hand.

Good luck, it will happen on their timescale ... that they will not disclose to you at any point in the process. Thankfully, now I don't have to deal with the Tesla Delivery Team anymore, and can deal face to face with the local service center, which has been great so far.

Previously drove a 1995 Ford Bronco with lift kit, so I'd say it was definitely worth the wait. If they only kept you up to date on the delivery after you purchase the car, it would have been perfectly fine ... but they don't ... at all.
