Many people don’t realize, but Model X has a hidden compartment in the trunk that provide lots of depth. Two large suitcases can fit side by side, and you still have space for small cases/duffle bags on top.
If you have the 6-seat version (highly recommended for easier getting on/off and better room for 3rd row), there will be large amount of space between the two 2nd row seat, enough for 1-2 large suitcases.
I suggest you rent an X from Turo if it’s possible, then spend a day with it, putting in all your regular stuffs, car seat, kids, cargo, etc, and see how you manage. Maybe you will find it doesn’t work at all, maybe you will find it’s ok, or even wonderful.
