Wanted to buy a used Tesla model X, great inventory online. Went into the Tesla store with my wife on 12/6 to make sure the Model X was the right car for us, one last check. We already did a test drive and loved the car. Our owner advisor was there and let us know that if we order a car now, they can send it to us before end of the year in order to qualify for the $7500 tax incentive. The car was in California and was set to be shipped to North Carolina, but if we "clicked the order now button" she could have it rerouted to south Florida, where we live. Feeling rushed, excited, etc, we clicked the link and ordered.
I went through the process online and have 6/6 tasks complete and the site says "You will be contacted by a Tesla delivery specialist to arrange for payment and delivery of your Model X". I'm trading in a car and am only allowed to put 500 miles on it... Since 12/6. My owner advisor tells me I'm set for delivery on 12/26, but haven't heard a word from delivery. It's 6 days from delivery.... With Christmas the day before. I'm concerned about not receiving the car and not getting the $7500 tax credit. Is this level of communication normal for Tesla? How far in advance of delivery should I expect to hear from Tesla delivery?

Update: I called the local delivery center and they told me they would only be able to tell me where the car is..... They checked and said the car is in North Carolina! 6 days before supposed delivery and the car is in another state....
