6 Seat middle space ideas

I would love someone to make a convertible armrest/storage extender.

I'm thinking it would mount between the two seats and raise and lower. If it could lower down to the level of the folded seats it could act as a trunk extender so when long items are loaded in they don't flop down. Then when not in use it can be raised up as an armrest.

Any thoughts?

I have the six seat model and I just put a milk crate there. It fits well, removes easily, and can support long cargo.
I just wish the second row of seats folded flat and the third row of seats were easily removable, to configure like the five seat, but leaving me with a perfectly usable four seats and lots more cargo space.
Does anyone know if this is in the works or have tried it DIY?
