In case there are others like me that prefer to read the Owner's Manual in places other than the seat of my MS, the 7.0 Owners Manual PDF (finally) became available in My Tesla / Documents / Model S Guides sometime later yesterday -- at least for me (7.0 firmware was both downloaded and installed in my MS back on Oct 14.)

Sharing the document

Hi,
Mine is in transit and has V6.2 on it meaning that the Guide will not be available on MyTesla for a while. Would you share the PDF document so I (and maybe others) can start my reading before the car actually arrive?

Thanks,

Michel.

Thanks for the heads-up. However I only see the 6.2 manuals in My Tesla... Wonder why it would be VIN-specific instead of updating everyone's site at the same time? Like the OP, I downloaded and installed 7.0 on my P85D the evening of 10/14, the very first day it was made available.

Sorry, I'd like to help, but it would be best if you contact your Delivery Specialist and ask for a copy. I say that because of my being a moderator on another forum and legally at least there, we can't redistribute and post copyrighted materials like manuals, so I dont' want to possibly get TMC or us in trouble...

BTW, congrats on that new MS!!!

Ok thanks, found it.
It is for S and X, if you look at some of the pages footer it says Model X and the Icon for Air suspension on page 44 is clearly a model X

I understand and was not aware of that, thanks.
It will be in Montréal on December 2nd, Santa is nice to me this year.

Hi, someone posted in another thread that a newer version of the 7.0 Owners Manual dated 10/28/15 had been posted on MyTesla. It looks like the footers that had "Model X" have been removed. I don't know what if anything else changed.

There was a warning in the Valet Mode section that was specific to towing in the Model X, which is gone now:

Warning: Do not use Valet mode when towing a trailer. Torque limitations can make it difficult for Model X to pull a trailer up a hill.

Went in to MyTesla today, and the user guide is gone...
I download a copy when new versions come out, so they are readily available offline on my local and mobile devices with improved search capabilities over what I can achieve online ...and it saves me from worrying and reporting about Tesla's constant web changes that are not always the highest of quality or as timely as some owners may desire. ;)

So do I .... or at least I thought I did, until I noticed my local version was from 6.2... I did manage to google it successfully though.

Still there for me as of 15:49 PM PST today.

Edit: IIRC correctly you're still on 7.0 (indeed, the specification in this thread's title) and may be referring to the 7.0 Owner's Manual. I am seeing the 7.1 Manual in my documents list.

I do have a download of the 7.0 manual.
My Tesla did have the 7.1 manual, despite my staying on 7.0, but now it had nothing "no service manuals available" (interesting that it says "service" instead of "owner's")
