A/C making “clunking/knocking” sound

I have a 2013 P85+ and noticed that while I am parked or idle I can hear and sometimes feel a clunking or knocking sound every 10 seconds. It is very faint but noticeable. Almost like the compressor is trying to cycle or kick back on. The noise last for just a split second but is pretty consistent. The sound stops after I turn off the A/C but returns as soon as I turn it back on. Just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this before I take it into the service center. I am pretty sure they will give me the usual “that’s normal for your model year” runaround since the car is functioning normally. Thanks!

It is possible that the belt could be worn. As it goes around to a certain part of the pulley it is making a clunking sound. That is my own personal thought.

You mean the belt that runs around the crankshaft?
