ACT Government EV charging grants announced

The ACT Government has announced $1.4M in funding for 77 new charging stations, a mix of AC and DC ("The chargers delivered through the program range from 22kW to 150kW."). No word on how many of each.

The recipients are Jolt, Evie and Engie.

Not much in the way of detail. Just this map.

Somewhat concerned that that might mean one DC and one AC point at each of the 77 sites, although possibly Jolt's involvement means that won't be the case.

Given the size of the ACT I'd personally prefer a lesser number of larger sites.

ACT Government will provide a $2,000 incentive to install charging infrastructure in common areas in multi-unit buildings, starting in 2023.

Did they not look at any photos of existing Jolt chargers before awarding them a contract? . Really?

I still don’t like seeing those cables dragging on the ground though. Not A Good Thing. The looping should be higher.
