Some quick pics I took today of my Signature SV302S wheels.

I have about 500 miles on them. Ride quality is decent... the 285 rears make some additional road noise compared to the stock wheels.

We have found that the Tesla's specific 275 / 30 rears with the acoustic foam actually are just as quiet as the stock OEM tires. And they are also actually wider in terms of tread than the generic 285/30 pilot 4S. When those wear out make sure you get the 275/30 designed for the car. You will be glad that you did.

Fantastic. You're just the person I wanna talk to because I'm about to get some 9.5 VS forged for the front. How much clearance do you have with that wheel and tire? I mean in terms of the front suspension knuckle clearance for both the wheel and the tire. I'm wondering if I can go to 40 mm, as I've got after market rotors so I can tolerate an extra 5 mm easily.Would you mind measuring for me? I'd be very grateful!

Come to think of it if you've got 35 mm on the front with the stock performance rotors that means by definition I could go to 40 mm. But I am curious what your clearances are (wheel & tire) with those super wide 265/30 tires.

I’ll take some pics and measurements tonight.

Super thank you so much! By the way, I forgot to ask you, what do you think of the handling of the car the way you've got it set up with the 265 30 tires in front? Should really cut down on understeer to have that much tire in the front. I've got a more traditional Staggered set up with 235 front and 275 rear and I've been surprised by how little under steer I'm able to elicit at any kind of safe speed on the street.

Let me light a (potentially dim) beacon: show us your 19-inch wheels!
Am in the market for my Performance 3. A touch more sidewall, a little lighter than my 20s.
Just remembered I should follow-up: went with Signature Wheels SV501s 19x8, ET18.
Tires are Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3+ In 245/40-19 (1% circumference difference).

Id like to participate in this convo . I am going 20x9.5” squared and want to go 265 35. Do you think that would fit?

The 265 front and 285 feels pretty balanced and it’s hard to put the 3 to the limits on the street nor do I want to. I also have the UPP front (soft) and rear sways (medium) too, so that definitely helps.

I can fit my pinkie finger in between the knuckle and rim, so about 5-6mm of clearance when straight, but only 1-2mm on full left and right. Time to put on the MPP rotors to get the extra 4mm.
