Well, I know there are many negative posts about Tesla in the media, but just want to report, we've been super lucky. Ordered a Model 3 Performance on August 14, expected to wait 2-4 months. Two weeks ago, got a text from a Delivery Specialist, the car was ready and was available for home delivery on September 14.
We delayed slightly to September 17 and they said the window was 2-4PM. We used the online payment system which worked great. And at 130PM, got a phone call from the delivery person. Noticed that our Tesla mobile application had actually automatically added a Model 3 and that we could actually track it as they drove it up to our house.
The shiny Model 3 arrived and he and another Tesla person arrived, with rag in hand to polish up the car. The actual paper work took five minutes. We already have a Model X, so the learning curve wasn't too steep, but the two gentlemen did a great job leading us through the car. We did spot two very small paint imperfection, they took a photo with their app and they logged it.
Wow, I wish every car experience was this easy. The thing is a dream to drive!
