Read a article in news today that Amazon was starting a new Hi Res music service. I am a Amazon prime member and have Amazon music included. My question is if/how I would be able to listen to this Hi Res music in my Tesla?
As of now, there is no integration other than the Slacker. So, to listen to any other services (Spotify, Amazon...) your only option is through phone (Bluetooth). Or, if you have a keen ear, get all hi-res music on the USB stick. Make sure to check out this to avoid frustration or disappointment: Comprehensive USB Bug List

Amazon's new service promises to stream songs at upto 24 bits with sample rate of up to 192kHz.
Unfortunately, Tesla does supports neither CarPlay nor AndroidAuto, so the only way you could stream it to the car's speakers is via BlueTooth.
Doubly sadly, Tesla's BT implementation only supports the default Bluetooth Subband Coding (SBC), not the higher quality aptX codec for music streaming, SBC overlays lossy compression for BT transmission, so whatever quality gains Amazon is introducing with its service will be butchered by Tesla's BT transmission link.
Software.
But it has been this way for a LONG time.
Tesla has been lagging behind other OEMs on proper cell phone integration (not just BT) for years, with little indication that this is a priority for them..
