Any Interest in a Tesla to J1772 adaptor?

Just so you know guys.. this will only work with the older, gen1 HPWC.

The latest ones that have the location on the side to hang the handle will not work. They interact with the car and aren't J1772 compliant.... and won't charge any other car...

I am using my rev 1 adaptor with a Tesla mobile charger from a 2016. I have not tried it on any HPWC's yet.

Really? How do you know that? I'm not doubting you, just want more info about this.

It's the reason the newer HPWC can't charge the Roadsters using the adapters already. I don't have any hard evidence but I know for a fact that the newer HPWC are firmware upgradable and they get updated by cars connecting to it. Your own Model S carries with it the latest firmware update. When you plug in, it exchange a few message with the HPWC and can update it. At the same time, the HPWC "knows" if its "talking" to a Model S/X or a more basic J1772 only car.
