App and In-Car Charge Speed Discrepancy

I have been charging on a level-1 outlet the past two months. The MCU shows the rate as 4MPH but the app says 4MPH. It seems I'm actually getting 4MPH, but I wonder if anyone has an idea as to why the app shows a faster rate than the car-itself.

This happens consistently so it's not a one-time thing.

Try this post again, except maybe use a different number than "4" in all three places to show a "discrepancy".

lol....the app shows 5MPH and the MCU shows 4MPH. Sorry.

I agree, but that still doesn’t explain the discrepancy. Does the app calculate the charge speed independently? I always assumed the app simply displayed whatever the MCU calculated. Apparently not.
