App updated last night, and now won't connect to the car

My App updated last night, and now when I open it, it just spins and spins, never connecting with the car. This is with a strong wifi connection. Anyone else experiencing this? New app version: 4.6.0-885

Is your car up to date software-wise? Does the car have good LTE signal?

And a two button car reset never hurts if all else fails. Has solved connection problems in the past for me.

The car has LTE and wifi. Both strong signals. I DID shut down and restart the phone before I posted. The car is up to date, on 2022.4.5
I've never had to try a two button reset before. Will I lose all my settings for everything?

No, you won't lose anything. It's just like rebooting your phone.

If you are still having trouble, contact service. I had this happen once in the beginning when I first got the car. They pushed some sort of an update to the car, and it started working again.

Now wouldn’t you know it, went to use my app today to warm the car up before I left, lo and behold I got the spinning circle myself. I had to go out in the driveway and open the door of the car before they would connect.

Yep. Same thing. 2 button reset did nothing.

Then I suggest you file a service ticket – that’s located in your app. Explain what’s going on.

New Model 3 having the same problem. App opens but will not connect to car. Just started this morning.

I ordered two fobs. Beginning to realize how tenuous relying on a phone as a key can be. Tesla cannot be trusted nit to screw something up with every update. I'll just revert to the old fashioned way of getting into my car
