I mentioned this in a couple of other threads but I know for a fact Tesla switched production of P85D models (and later P...D versions) to a softer, non-Plus suspension in April 2015. My girlfriend has a late 2015 P90D model and I highly dislike the floatier feel, especially around corners...

Yes it's been well established that the P85D+ was produced through and including April 2015, although I've seen just one P85D+ produced in May 2015.

That remains a mystery.

A LOT of us would like to see it return to the P100DL.

I'm just waiting for my ESA to run out in 2022 to buy a salvaged P100DL battery pack and do it myself.

Oh man that would be amazing.. range and supercharging taper is the only thing I wish to see improved in my P85D. A 100kWh pack would solve these!!

Are you sure your P85D does not have a + suspension? That would be a first for a Dec '14 production car.

I haven't physically checked the suspension under the passenger wheel well as suggested by @P85_DA but using the links to check the raw data on evtripping.com showed that it does not have it.

Not always accurate, so physical check by raising the suspension and breaking out the flashlight will tell you for sure. Our $$ is on you having it as mine’s a Dec ‘14 build as well and it’s a “+”.

At the recent Nikola Tesla birthday party at Wardenclyffe this summer on Long Island, I helped TWO P85D owners identify that their early cars were, in fact, Performance + cars.

They were happy campers.

Digging up an old thread here....
My car is in the shop so I can not check. One of the rear struts is bent and I have a new one on order from the Netherlands. I'd like to source a used one state side. Would someone be kind enough to pull the part number from the (left) rear of their P85D with A suspension for me?

How urgent? The fronts are easy to see the label, but the rear will need to be jacked up/wheel removed.

Please do not go to any trouble. I need to stop by the local service center to inquire about the new unit coming from abroad and I will get the exact part number then. I was just asking in case someone already knew the number.
