Don't skip PPF. Some regions get a small piece of PPF in front of rear tires.
Even my 2010 Altima has a small piece of PPF in that location. It should and hopefully is standard on all Tesla's now.

It is not standard on all....but put on in certain places.

do I need to get Tesla vision acceptance request to get VIN?

I believe if you are first matched with a new vehicle planned for production, yes once tesla vision pops up you'll get a Vin assigned in source code. However if you get pushed a vehicle someone declines or passes on, I'm not sure.


Btw I selected the Lawrence dealership as well.

Sometimes after the VIN is assigned but before the VIN is shown on the site or the app, people have checked the source code and found their VIN, allowing them to know they have been assigned. If you do not see it anywhere, then you haven't been assigned one yet.

I ordered my MYLR Red/black 10/8/21 and I have a mid-February to mid-March estimated delivery.

There is no trend...lol

Some people have had their EDD drop and received a VIN, and then others got blessed with that great 10-14 day threshold, only to be yanked back over a month. (*raises hand)

Got a text this morning from my SA regarding trading in my Mazda, and now it seems like navigating through my account has been sluggish, as if changes are being made...hopefully good news? Seems like if I hit Manage my order, I get looped back to my Dashboard

He's referring to bringing up your account page, going to manage section for the new vehicle. Then typing "view-source:" in front of the whole web address. In front of HTTPS. Then search the text for vin. I searched SAY to find mine

GOT MY Y YESTERDAY! It was PERFECT. No gap issues, paint or anything I could find. Use check lists provided by others here and passed with flying colors. It was a great delivery experience. Also, came with front mudflaps, rear PP and it is definetly a 2022.

Congrats! So... I just bought the mud flaps on tesla.com. Should I return them?

None taken. I'm sure they know. I wanted to find the link for the forum.
I believe if you're in any sort of snow belt, assume it's all there.

I'm quite torn though because I've seen some pretty rough videos/images of the flaps collecting debris very quickly and not draining. The things I saw made the flaps look like an aftermarket mistake, not a solution to a problem. But I'm just praying it's not the case.
