Yeah could be a coincidence but who knows. I have had a two week window before so if I get a VIN then I would recommend adding FSD. I can remove it, I confirmed with SA. Also there is a button on my profile that allows me to remove it currently.

Now I’m tempted, I really don’t want to pay the 10-12k for fsd when I waited this long already. So you’re waiting on the VIN til you remove it?
Yep. There is even a button to remove it online. I confirmed with my SA that I can remove it later also.
i just got an email outlining delivery options (ex. selecting carrier direct vs. pick-up in Paramus NJ)... and that for planning purposes they will cease carrier direct delivery from 9/17 through 10/2 (EOQ)

Could have pushed out as it is recalculating. Then will update after a few days.
Still have July 27th to August 10. Closest I have ever been to delivery window. Still no VIN.
Good or bad that no VIN assigned going into edd window in a few days? I remember reading something about it in the forums but can’t find it
I can’t imagine that it is good- I was told VINs show up 7-10 days before expected arrival at the delivery center - My EDD is July 24-Aug 21 - I have no VIN yet
I talked to two people from Tesla in the last week and both said that they typically get assigned within your EDD.
Depends on your location. If CA it can be a day or so into your window. If for example, east coast, it takes 2 weeks delivery so usually well before the start of your window.
I’m in illinois. My friend got Vin July 17. For July 29-April 2 EDD. So you’re kind of close to us. I’d say Midwest 1-2 weeks prior to delivery EDD.
