Australian Model 3 Highland experiences, tips, tricks

I just had a local ask me what this “thing” was for and what it is doing.
When I explained it they were pretty interested in the whole thing which is awesome.
Dogs and EVs are great conversation starters!

A bloke in a pre-highland M3 gave me the biggest thumbs up when I went to pick up dinner last night. Felt good!

Also installed our rear facing child seat yesterday with zero issues. I am amazed at how much space there is in the front for my wife with the child seat behind her. Maximising my son’s safety whilst maximising my wife’s comfort is a big win. For reference she’s around 175cm tall.

Was gonna say.. maybe Tesla were right about the centre tiedown in that its rarely used… it would be pretty awkward trying to shove a squid into the centre position..

Change of plans due to late start.. going down to Ballarat tonight then over to Adelaide tomorrow (modifies trip planner)

Looks like ill be able to tick another SC off today, route planner is suggesting stopping at Kilmore which looks to be just on the Hume Highway, then in to Ballarat.

I might either top back up in the morning in Ballarat or tonight if i go out for dinner.

Appears to be 2 SC there, Lucas and Wendouree.

Is it seated properly? I had that same symbol when I had it unplugged to pull the headlight video off just before.

I think I read on this forum you need to clean up files manually? Or someone can comfirm it is overwriting the old once then full? Pull it and delete old files maybe?

Can't understand how it can be full in just a few weeks.

I tried the delete files thing and its the same… weird

You could try reformatting the drive. You can do that in the in-car menu.

I unplugged it and plugged it back in, seems to be back, might upgrade it to ssd when i get home

Anyone had a peak in service mode for the alert logs? I know it's not really intended for the end user. Mine has a lot of entries with sccm_a016_hardwareError , and then describes some issue with the steering column stalks module. I wonder if the software is trying to find the stalks on my highland

A black or gray, couldnt tell the sun was in my eyes!
