Is there anything changed for NSW stamp duty exemption? I got a new invoice from Tesla this morning, they added stamp duty in the invoice.

My order is MY RWD.

since you're gonna get the car post Jan 1, you have to apply for stamp duty refund from Revenue NSW instead of it being $0 previously

For those who have been waiting I'd be hitting Tesla up for some sort of freebie for the wait time, even if it was just premium connectivity for a period or supercharging etc,

I messaged them about the possibility of getting some sort of compensation like premium connectivity and they flat out replied that "...Tesla will not be providing any compensation".

The new software update released by Tesla a couple of days ago includes a one week ban if you get 5 warnings while using auto-pilot and not keeping your hands on steering wheel.
People paying $5100 upfront or $199 per month for enhanced autopilot won’t be happy.
What is next? May be, the car won’t start for a week if you over speed twice in a week .

How about ban on Tesla if they change EDD three times in three months.

FSD already has this in place.

Yeah it's 5 dis-engagements which is extremely hard to do.

If you are going to deliberately ignore warnings that much then 100% you should be banned.

Just got email from Tesla that the final invoice will change to include stamp duty because we'll take on the delivery next year. We can claim it back from the Revenue NSW post-delivery.
This is another inconvenience. Not happy Jen!

Yep I've had my invoice since late Oct as well and paid it mid November. The other challenge is that we were traidning in our old car and I wonder what stunt they will pull with the negotiated trade in value since teh Beemer will have a few more km on it by the time the Teslal arrives

Yes that's my worry too. I'm also sure that Tesla won't do any price drops on the MY since they got so many cars on GC. It will only happen after they offloaded all those cars.

Tesla doesn't care that's the thing. After messaging them a few times it is clear that all we get is 'we are sorry but work hard to get you behind the wheel of your MY as soon as possible''. We won't get anything as a 'sorry your car took x months more' unless you are famous on YT

You can always sell your car privately, if you don’t like the trade in price

Yep, plenty of time to sell privately and get a lot more in the pocket. I sold mine last month expecting a late November/early December delivery as was the EDD and communication back then. Of course, I'm now without my car so... That's a thing

Oh yes, Tesla supply the UMC to popular YouTubers for good rep but when there's actual late deliveries for customers "lol whoopsie"

To be fair though, this delay is mostly out of their control and they have a LOT of people waiting.

I sold mine on Car sales instant offer. Pretty happy with price and process. Cant hurt to see what they will offer. Keen to hear if it worked for you.
