This is a really easy install if you have some basic tools. Totally understand if you don't feel comfortable with it, but it's easy.

I installed this on my M3. Not too hard. Worst part was finding a good stable place for the motor on a 2018. Second hardest thing was figuring out where the landing check goes (I got version 4.0). The videos I watched weren't clear about that. Final problem is that I might have bent a pin, waiting to hear back from them about that.

It works though! I'll double check the hood alignment tomorrow, but all seemed good.

I received mine (along with the rear hatch kick sensor) in the mail, and it actually arrived a couple days earlier than the shipping estimate, I have to agree that the standard free shipping is pretty darn good! I haven't had a chance to install it yet, been working a bunch of OT lately... I am hoping to do the job over my next few days off.

Anyone know if there is a "proximity aware" 12v to connect this to? Meaning that it is only supplied with 12v if the phone of FOB is in proximity. I don't like connecting things directly to the 12v supply.
