Looks like the 3 was moved to AS for 2024... Commence whining from the Corvette people!

One driver in one region is exactly how we got into this SS mess back in 2019!My last event was a double header and was told specifically by a sitting board member my results were being directly looked at and would have weight in their voting.
Well to be fair, my regions AS class is highly competitive. Dan Simms won nats this year and he constantly goes toe 2 toe with a few guys in the class. Also, our PAX is quite difficult with a number of champs from Chicago and Milwaukee region and national trophy winners. One driver in one region is exactly how we got into this SS mess back in 2019!
Glad it worked out, but shame they couldn't have followed the data from all sorts of national events which clearly show the M3P as a slow AS car, fast BS car.
Yeah, re-looking at it, I forgot about wheel width having to be stock, and all the bushings have to go back. So all you can really do is shocks (not springs) and one sway bar.Isn't AS prep basically suspension without camber mods? So you'd have to pull FUCAs, camber arms, etc., with everything else the same?
Unplugged performance sells a street class kit:Anybody other than Koni makes decent Street-compliant shocks? Bumpstops?
Are both Red and Yellow Konis allowed in AS? EVX is as close to a stock class that I've ever dealt with.Pulling my EVX suspension bits off as we speak for winter. Wasn't gonna pull lower suspension arms aftermarket bushings, but maybe I should if I want to test the AS move.

Basically any shock using the stock mounting points is allowed in street class. Spring changes are not. Shocks must have no more than 2 adjustments. Are both Red and Yellow Konis allowed in AS?
I'm still pretty sure a Model 3 with awesome shocks, a rear sway bar, but no springs, bushings, or camber is not AS competitive though.
Lots of suspension movement. I kept ripping front mud flaps off the car at events. they would hit the ground and I would hear a "pop" then a clacking when they were hitting the side of the car... so i put them on quick release clips and remove them at each event now. That's an interesting perspective on that last one...
Yes, unfortunatley this is true.It appears EVX Pax was changed to .834
