Autoglass + warranty

I got a stone chip in one of my front door windows which has cracked it, so Autoglass have come out to replace the pane (with genuine Tesla glass).

It suddenly occurred to me that not using Tesla for this might void any warranty? I know Autoglass are reputable and my insurance company want me to use them for these things. Any idea if this affects my Tesla warranty?

Why would changing a door window done by a well known glass specialist company have any impact on the warranty? I suppose if they managed to damage something during the installation, but it would need to be a direct and demonstrable result of the repair. Unlikely and not something I would worry about.

I hope so. Just seen people refused warranty claims for spurious things before and started to worry.

Even if this was an issue, Tesla could only refuse warranty on the screen or anything directly affected, and Auto glass provide their own warranty on their work. Tesla cannot refuse warranty because of unrelated work, there Is consumer protection around vehicle repairs being allowed by third parties and initial manufacturer’s warranty.
