Today, I discovered that my Model S was able to successfully (parallel) autopark between a car and...a porta-potty.

Which raises the question - why would you want to park near a porta potty? :)

Sometimes there is a reason a particular parking space is empty...

Haha! This was in front of my son's friend's place...they're having a bunch of work done on their house and I presume the workers brought that in for their use. I figured that was better than parking across the street by the grumpy neighbor.

If the angle looks weird, it's probably because the street has a curve that straightens out in front of the house.

Not really, the wheels were pretty well lined up with the curb.

Sorry I didn't get that...I'm lurking on a video conference with some grumpy people on it, and that's clearly affecting my mindset. :)

Auto parking will take any spot that has an object before it, after it, and a defined curb. It doesn't care what those objects are.
Mine routinely shows me spots all up and down my back alley, usually between garbage cans. Though I admit I've never let it actually park there.
