If the energy display in my Model S is accurate, AP/traffic aware cruise control disfavor regenerative braking. Have others seen the same thing? Is there a technical reason for that?
I think that it depends on the sensitivity you choose in the settings. If you choose a more sensitive setting then autopilot may use more regen, if you choose a more aggressive setting then the autopilot is more likely to brake as it'll begin to stop later
