I have this on my service list to be done.
I thought it could only be done at the Tesla shop.
It has me down to have it done at home. Can this be done at home now?

When you make a service appointment in the app, it always first assumes that it will be done as mobile service with the address you provide. If they read the description of your problem and determine that it must be done at the SC then they will update the appointment.

Well, it just takes a small special tool, and can be done from the outside of the battery. So sounds reasonable that mobile can do it.

I inquired last fall (November-ish) about this and was told since the car had to go on a lift that it could not be done at home.
