Discussion in 'TSLA Investor Discussions' started by ValueAnalyst, Aug 10, 2017.
I'm creating this thread to better keep track of my bets. There's just too many.
@ValueAnalyst: Short interest as a percentage of outstanding shares will decline below 10% by end-2017 and 5% by end-2018.
@SteveG3: No way. Short interest and FUD will remain higher than 10% into 2020s.
@Alketi: Really? I project things differently. I don't think the short interest ever goes away.
@D-egg-O: If Tesla pays a dividend before 2020, I will gladly send the first one to @ValueAnalyst.
I don't think I ever got a response on this one other than marked funny
lols, in my case, though VA is accurate in stating that we made bets, he/she is not accurate in stating what the bets are.
First come first serve, as I indicated in my original post in the General Discussion thread, and The Dividend Bet is taken by @D-egg-O.
You may propose a bet here based on my posts in other threads. Make it specific enough so that there is no room for ambiguity and put a deadline.
Expect that I will not accept your bet, as there are no "balls" in this strike zone, and I rarely swing.
Threads about yourself belong in the OT forum.

I'll take up VA on that bet as well. I'll give my first two dividend payouts to VA if we get a dividend before 2020. If we don't, VA can send me 1 share (market value at the time) of TSLA.
Funny, but as indicated before: first come, first serve.
And I like @D-egg-O's win-no lose bet better
I either win the bet, or I win in my portfolio .. so no regrets
Nice! Might need a thread for your polls too?
I stand by my short interest prediction, because if Tesla executes, it's share price will always exceed its current value. Thus, some folks will always see it as "overvalued".
Note that our bet is on short interest percentage, not absolute value.
Someone needs to teach VA how to do actual polls, instead of stuff his/her profile stats.
I have a bet for everyone. Just Stop mucking about and buy the F*cking Dip already. Am I doing this right?
Fair enough. How about we bet on no dividend before 2022 then?
No, but I'll take a stock buyback if you're game.
Also - see please see Reciprocity's post above, and correct the record on your latest Market Action post.
No, there is no reason for you to reference the post here in the market action thread. It contributes no value, much like my unfortunate choice to reply. Stock buyback could happen but is unlikely. Dividend absolutely will not. I would bet on no stock buyback before 2020.
Ok. Fairness and genuineness are very important to me; therefore, good luck to you.
I stated my reasoning, I don't see what's disingenuous about that.
