Brake Pedal not working

For the past few weeks the first time I go to use my brake pedal nothing happens unless I jam it to the floor or lift the pressure and reapply. This is not good when traffic speeds suddenly drop from 100 down to 0 within seconds. Anyone else having this problem? I’m having it serviced in a couple of days.

I would not drive that car until it's fixed. Sounds like a hydraulic issue. Check the brake fluid level.

This is basic car stuff. Has nothing to do with it being an electric vehicle.

except depending on your commute, you can get away with regen braking and not notice till emergent braking..

When did this start? How long have you owned the car? I'd take a guess that you may have struck some debris and severed a brake line. I WOULD NOT drive the car until that is addressed. Very dangerous.

Brakes and tires are the two most important components of the car.

Contact Roadside Assistance and have them transport your car to the service center.

Yup.. sounds like you need brake fluid flush and inspection (for leaks and debris).
