Brand New M3 SR+ Making Hissing Noise Outside the car

Just want to confirm that it’s normal to have a pretty loud hissing noise when the cars AC is on outside of the car.

I appreciate any feedback on this.

It was doing that for me just now while my car was software updating, I'm guessing it's normal... My car is from May 2018.

Maybe post an audio clip, but yeah with the AC on you will hear a lot of stuff normally masked by ICE car noise. When I leave work sometimes I keep the AC off while I drive past co workers just to showcase how quiet the car is. When the AC goes full tilt it does get quite loud....

Same sound as the AC in an ICE car. Walked by a Porche SUV in the mall parking lot and that thing's AC fans were on full tilt. Louder than the engine.

My 328 was the same - incredibly loud and on a hot day would run for more than 20 minutes after turning the car off.
