Model y OEM steering wheel fit model 3?

Yeah I figured this would be the case. Thanks for the input guys. Just wasn't sure if by now there was a way to get a heated wheel to work on our early adopter cars. The joy of being first 😁

Model y OEM steering wheel fit model 3?

I found a lead on a model y steering wheel at an auto wrecker. I'm wondering if it would fit my 2018 model 3, and if so would the heated steering wheel function work? I think there is a wiring harness, etc needed but I might even be able to pull that out of the wrecked Y. My gut says no go, but...

Stacking premium connectivity with referral points?

Anyone tried stacking premium connectivity using referral points? You can basically get 4 years worth for 10k points, assuming you buy 4x in a row. Considering doing it but not sure if you can buy multiple years or only 1 at a time. Also, does the sentry mode remote viewing option work in...

Premium Connectivity Referral Stack after current subscription?

Anyone tried stacking multiple years? You can basically get 4 years of connectivity for 1 referral bonus. Been thinking about using it for that, but also thinking of saving the points so on the fence.

    Canada - FSD rollout

It's kind of sad how they include fsd for free on used teslas, but you can't transfer even for a fee to a new one. Personally this would work against them in my situation. Having fsd locked to the car makes me more likely to keep the car forever. Fsd as it stands today is nowhere near worth...

You don't have to leave a voice note. The notification goes away quickly and if it does then I'm pretty sure they basically ignore the event. It makes sense to have the short voice tag as then they aren't guessing what went wrong. Overall I'm actually pretty impressed this far with V11 compared...

    Canada - FSD rollout

My guess is that because the public build isn't single stack it still has the legacy highway feature set with USS. Tesla vision is mostly about disabling radar, which my car has but hasn't used it for some time now even with the public builds. I think probably close to 2 years now since radar...

Confirmed the same for me. I get USS when parking but not when driving. I think they shut off above a certain speed.

I'll try and pay attention today. I have a 2018 so have radar and USS, though radar is disabled . I see the USS indicators when parking in the garage, didn't pay much attention when driving though.

    Canada - FSD rollout

I'm pretty sure that only governs speed based lane changes, but the car will still change lanes to follow the route. Often the routing gets the HOV lane savings wrong. For example last night it tried to take me off the highway to save 10 min of driving time, but I ended up cancelling the...

Some reactions after 11.3.4 drive to and from work today: Did not react to the speed bumps around me, still waiting for that feature. Lane changing in heavy traffic is much more aggressive (in a good way). Will take a little getting used to vs how timid previous fsd builds were. It did a...

Still waiting here. Looking at the rollout stats I guess is OG beta testers (I've had bata since June of last year) are no longer prioritized and it's a random number generator for when updates get pushed to our cars 🤓.

I think the single stack FSD version is 2022.40.5. I also installed 2022.36.20 today but have the flu so didn't check release notes on the car or drive...mostly because I was sure it wasn't the single stack version. Holding my breath if it's going to be as groundbreaking as they make it sound...

PSA for those of you that are in FSD Beta and tether their phones to stream music, etc while driving.... Apparently when you tether, any data the car is sending back to Tesla now goes through your phone and not through Tesla's cellular connection. I'm pretty sure at least. I got an email today...

After a week with 10.69.2 I can definitely say it's much improved over previous releases. I'm still not sure how long it will take to be really, really good. For now you still have to pay attention, but this is a step forward. The previous couple updates didn't really seem different to me. This...

    Sentry mode and 'low' battery

You can override this now. You have to re enable it in the app though, so if it drops below 20 overnight it will stay off until you re enable it. I think it shuts off at 5 or 10% again. If you have superchargers that close, why not charge for 2 min to get to 25 or 30%?

Echoing what others have said about the first day with the new version, it seems better in the couple problem areas I have come to know on my commute. Overnight I got a notification for 2022.20.15 (10.69.2). But I have had a couple right turns where it hammered the accelerator for no apparent reason...

I got 69.1.1 last week. A few others posted in here they got it, but I expect it wasn't a wide release to existing beta testers. 69.2 is supposed to go wider and release notes are out so it should hopefully not be long...but who knows with Tesla.

How quickly did you get the strikes? It's pretty tough to get them, but the next version should be out wide in a few days maybe a week. Are you on 10.69.1.1 now? Did the drive to and from work today. Limited data but on the offramps it didn't speed off like Mad Max, which is good. It did seem like the right and left turns were more smooth with less jerky wheel motion. When it turned off into my subdivision it took the right turn and hammered the...

Sucks to hear. I was hoping for an improvement. Especially to justify the cost going to 20k now. Maybe that was done to prevent those that paid 8-12k from complaining 🙃 I'm at least hoping the new update doesn't drive 120km/h on offramps like the current version. Man, I gotta say I'm getting more and more bothered by how FSD handles offramps. So many times it actually accelerates to 120 km/h when the ramp is clearly marked as 60km/h. I would love to see the Tesla safety score for dad drives. It's funny because the way fsd drives it would be getting...

Car is sounding like it is straining, in the wrong gear?

That's odd. There is no gearing in model 3. Only the Porsche Taycan had a 2 speed gearbox I think. Do you have any loss of power? You mentioned it sounds like it's straining, but how does it feel if you punch it? You could make a service appointment though the app and describe the issue...

Enables the same as AP. Basically functions like AP when you dont have a destination in the NAV, but at a dead end intersection it will make a right turn. Other than that it's pretty much like AP with no destination in NAV. When you have a destination, it will do it's best attempt at get you...

One thing to share here that I was glad to see: automatic disengagement due to speed over 120 km/h doesn't count as a 'forced autopilot disengagement' This morning on the way to work I had cruise set to 121km/h. I didn't think much about it and for most of the drive I was around 115. Then at...

That's an interesting question. FSD does transfer with the car, so I'm guessing that the beta would as well (otherwise they would need to downgrade your software). Very well said. I am in full agreement. Let's also not forget how nervous we all were when first driving, when we had our first winter snow storm, when we first hydroplaned or slid on ice. It's not joking when I say the car drives (sometimes) like a 14 year old. But the nature of the neural...

This is partly true (at least from the limited test I did). In another quick test I tried I was in a turning lane... By regular AP I mean not having a destination in the NAV. Those of you with radar enabled cars, it seems my radar is still enabled on fsd. While driving the small arcs indicating curbs or close cars still come up. I thought I read somewhere that fsd disables radar so it operates like newer cars without radar but that doesn't seem to be the case.
