Can't get parts after collision. 3 months!

I was hit by an unlicensed and uninsured motorist almost 3 months ago. The car is at an authorized Tesla collision center but we haven't been able to get the final part to get the repairs complete. There is not even an ETA for the part (a hinge bracket). Any suggestions on what I can do?

Right. The collision center says that they not allowed to use salvaged or third party parts at risk of losing their Tesla authorized status.

Then you're either stuck there cause they're telling you they are stuck OR you're going to have to take the car elsewhere and just get it done.

Have you contacted Tesla service and tried to get the part yourself?

This seems normal for Tesla after a collision. Expect months. An authorized Tesla Collision Center will be getting the parts from Tesla. Unless the repair folks are just lying, trying to get the parts yourself from Tesla will make no difference.
