Car packs up with aircon fault

My aircin apparently packed up spreading metal around the whole system. Currently bill over 3000 quid to get it going again.
New pump, condensers and valves with system flush.
Anyone any experience of this?

Not with Tesla, but pretty common in all cars that have a catastrophic compressor failure

The main difference is in a Tesla, the compressor is required to cool the batteries. Unlike an ICEr which you can continue to drive without air conditioning.
Might be a bit uncomfortable if you're not used to the great outdoors in the heat.

Yes interesting how the car shut itself down completely, luckily I had engaged tow mode prior to this and rolled it off my sloped drive otherwise recovery would have been a nightmare!
