So they replaced the whole motor pack today. The car now definitely feels like the one I just borrowed, so I'm inclined to believe there was something wrong in there, just no idea what.
Luckily, it was one of the other problems I brought it in for that led to the motor replacement. I had thought the car seemed slower than it was originally, but I was attributing it to just being used to it now -- I've had several other high performance cars and it always seems to happen. It wasn't until i was driving the loaner this morning that i started thinking that something wasn't quite right.
