I went to order a CHAdeMO Adapter today and the Tesla store is showing it as being sold out. Is this fairly typical, or a sign that Tesla is discontinuing or updating the adapter?

They can't keep T-shirts in stock either. Not sure what their problem is.

The HPWC was sold out before the recent update, so you may be on to something here. There was a waiting list for it when it first came out but no availability problems since then.

Hopefully being replaced by something cheaper, maybe with CCS support.

I suspect it's a bit early for integrated CCS support.

Having spent $491 for a Chademo adapter less than a year ago, I'm certainly interested in whether this is just a re-supply or some sort of secret yet-to-be announced adapter change.

As it is, most people probably won't use their ChaDeMo but maybe 50x, which works out to about $10 added on top of the per-session cost.

I don't really expect to see CCS in the same adapter, given that the physical and electronic interfaces are completely different.

It seems like it'd be easier and safer to make a separate CCS adapter, and not much more money.
