charge only to 97%??

I just take the delivery the day before yesterday. It is a refreshed model 3 performance. This is first time I charge my car and in the app, it only allows me to adjust charging as high as 97%. Does anyone knows why? attached a screenshot of my tesla app

My guess is because it already thinks its going to take 24+ hours to charge, given that you are charging on 120v. It also was just starting to charge, it looks like. when you get closer to 100% (whenever that is), it will likely adjust.

And in case you're not aware yet, you probably don't want to charge to 100% anyway, as it can be damaging to the battery if you do it enough times. Most tesla owners set our charge level to 80-90% and always charge to that amount.

What’s the temperature? I see that behavior when my battery is cold. It will heat the battery as necessary during charging and get it to your actual set point.

Here is what I see right now with a cabin temp just below freezing and a car that has been sitting for 5+ hours

Mine does it too. Right now I can only go to 98%. Sometimes it's 100 sometimes 99.

I'm not sure why it does it. I think maybe it's in cold climates. It's -2 today. That or it's just an app glitch. The car says 100. The app 98
