Charge Port Door Acting Up

The charge port door is acting up. Sometimes it won't open with the button, sometimes it opens part way and seems loose.

So far, it's always resumed working fine after a little futzing around, but is this a known issue and is it likely to fail in the future?

I'm having an issue with mine in the new car I picked up last week. Charge port opens fine using the touch screen or pressing the button on the charge cable, but manually touching it to open does not work. I have a service appt scheduled soon to get it fixed. Not sure if others have had similar issues.

It now happens all the time. The service center is 4 hours away; I'm hoping mobile service can fix it.

We have a 2018 Model 3 and when that happened we had to have the charge port door motor replaced.

Yes, I've rebooted. I have service appt coming up.

The mobile service replaced my charge port door. Took less than an hour.
