I think this demonstrates the capabilities of the dashcam pretty well.

If it was any other car, he would have gotten away with it completely.

He said he left a note.. also said he went inside to look for whose car it was..

I don't think he had any idea where the recording was from or that it shows him clearly in under a minute.

Then he was tracked down through video and campaign finance filings.
Then he gave his insurance partial info (didn't mention it was a rental) after he was tracked down.
Then he didn't file with his insurance, then he did, (they denied since its a rental)
He said he reported to rental company.. also a lie, they had no record.

Now there are outstanding claims with 3 insurance companies and he's out there campaigning and telling people to give him money because he'll bring integrity to city council.
