    voted. they are neck and neck. perhaps if CNBC had mentioned Zip2, Paypal, SpaceX, and Solar City in addition to their description of Tesla, Elon would have more votes.

    I'm probably going to be hanged for this but given the actual question posed (Who has had more influence on business in the last 25 years) I had to vote for Bezos.

    If the vote considered the favorable environmental impact of these two men, Elon would be a run away winner. On that score Bezos is probably a loser in many ways. Given what we're facing as a result of climate change, this kind of contest is nonsense unless it takes those impacts into account.

    fwiw, I paused before voting for Musk, I think these two guys are both top 5. Elon's achievements as CEO of two extremely demanding technology advancing companies with startup pressures simultaneously got my vote.
