I’m not sure how you equate “scheduled a delivery appointment” to “accepted and locked in all terms and conditions of every aspect of the sale”. The latter happens when you actually TAKE delivery and sign the paperwork.
Put another way: If market conditions changed and Tesla announced an additional $3,000 discount between the time you scheduled delivery and the time you actually took delivery of the car, you’d likely expect that discount and throw a $3,000-sized fit if you didn’t get it ya?
Trade quotes are only good for a specified period. If that period is over, the quote is invalid. Used car prices are dropping like rocks right now so yeah, you should expect a lower offer.
We accept passenger cars, trucks, vans and SUVs for trade in towards the purchase of a new or used Tesla vehicle.

“Trade-in offers are valid for 30 days or 1,000 miles, whichever comes first, and are contingent on the information you provide about the vehicle being accurate.”
