Update:
I do have to fly out to Atlanta to pick up the car. No way around that really. Should be a great way for me to get to know the car over the 13 hour, 870 mile trip back home.
My SA also said she talked to a couple colleagues and they think I won't have any tax implications at all in Georgia. She said that the people drawing up the contracts will confirm for sure.
I also got an email from my delivery advisor introducing himself. He asked me to be patient with him. He said, "...there is a 7-10 day wait from our logistics team to move vehicles."
That might actually work in my favor. I work for a major network so I am pretty busy at work with all this stuff in the news right now and the midterm elections coming up. Will keep everyone posted on what happens.
Not to derail the original posters thread (congrats Videofrank!), but I went to high school in Fayetteville. Still have family in the area. How are you traveling to Houston? If Lafayette is somewhere near your route, I'd be cool to meet up and talk Tesla and Fayetteville. PM me!Congrats! I placed my order on Saturday and still have not heard from the delivery specialist, even though I was told they would call me over the weekend. I have to drive 9.5 hours each way to get it (NW Arkansas down to Houston) and am only available this week, so I'm nervously crossing my fingers. I hope my specialist is as helpful as yours!
Look great, except that NEMA 14-50 begs to be replaced by a wall connector. Also here is an updated photo of the car now. Looks completely different from the photo above when we first arrived home.
