Crushing Rear-Seat Passengers

@OP, great suggestion. I think a LOT of features should be smarter, e.g. in non-Tesla vehicles, there’s already a pressure sensor that deactivates the front passenger airbag; why not let a passenger program the navigation. (Tesla at least does not nanny-nag Navi programming.)

But it does strike me that the solution you suggest is only necessary because of how far back Tesla lets you push the seat back with Easy Exit. Most midrange and higher cars automatically back the seat up about an inch, I would guess, NOT adjustable. But Tesla’s option to push your seat WAY back is what may be creating a problem other cars don’t have: screaming rear passengers.
