The California Building Standards Commission has approved our proposal to expand the quantity maximums for outdoor locations. Now a truly massive system is possible if you have room and money for 42 Powerwalls!

For the average person this means that the current limitation of groups of 5 units in a single kind of location will be revised as shown above. This is a huge win for our customers who often bump into the restriction of 5 in a single location, though it might be outdoors on a concrete pad or in a service enclosure with almost no fire danger.

Yea, now my 7 is a none issue. Too bad the ones you installed that had to deal with the 5 restriction.

To be clear, this code isn't in force until July 1 2024, but AHJ can adopt early if they like.
