Cybertruck battery only half full?

Interesting tearup by Sandy Munro. It appears that Cybertruck battery casing is only half full, could fit almost double size battery.

Maybe the original range estimates were not that far off, but for some reason they decided to go for smaller battery? But obviously there is now a possibility for "long long range" version.

Haven't seen the video, but one thig that comes to mind is the depth may be beneficial to resist bending moment as the floor is structural.

What a disaster by Tesla. If they want the Cyberbeast to be an off-roader then please go all in........ Make it a proper off roader. The rest of them should have an upgradable battery for those 500 miles.

Extra batteries means extra weight and extra cost.

With 4680 cells being in relatively short supply, it could simply be that Tesla is trying to match CyberTruck production with 4680 supply.

Right but it’s a truck, you’re not trying to be the lightest, the Off Raider would be the one trying to accomplish that

It’s like installing 37s and a lift on your Ridgeline to be a hardcore rig. Although the quality would be much better!
