Dead key fob after leaving it in the car

Hey guys long story short.

Lost my keyfob for 5 days. I was using my wife key until yesterday when I got to work and realized that the car was not locking. Then it hit me. I forgot my wife key at home. So the damn key was in my car all that time. Anyway. For the 5 days the car was displaying that the key battery was low. It was my key that was low. So today I buy battery and switch it and bam. Nothing. The keyfob is not working anymore.

So... is there something I can do... Wife key is working with the new battery and wife old battery is not working in mine. Old battery not working also, but they all work in wife keyfob.

I think you need to relink the fob with the car

that im not sure I know I could do it on the profile screen but someone on here who's had their car longer than I have might know

This is another instance showing why Tesla should provide an audible warning when you leave the key fob in the car. This is a common and very useful assist for those of us who are sometimes absent minded.

Never really replied to my own story but here is the catch. During a long trip 1 week later our 2nd keyfob also died. We had to start the car with the phone and SC had to replace BOTH keyfob under warranty. They both died totally within 1 week of each other.
