There are techniques to fix deep paint scratches, you are better off doing with with somebody that has experience. A good body shop can probably fix this for less than the cost to repaint the hood - you just need to find one. This is not a brand new car so I wouldn’t worry about absolute perfection but if it was just the scratch, it can be fixed so you won’t notice from 3 feet away (without respraying). It involves mixing the paint so it matches well, filling the scratch with paint and paint + clear coat till it covers and raises above the scratch, then letting it dry for 48hrs to a week, then taking a denibber to remove the raised part, followed by localized wet sanding, followed by polish. It’s time consuming, probably most shops don’t bother, but in the right skilled hands it preserves the factory paint and you would only be able to notice up close.
Obviously you have to straighten the dent but what cannot be perfectly levelled can probably be masked with body filler
