Deformed all weather mats

So i ordered some all weather floor mats and boot/froot liners from Tesla and they’ve arrived completely malformed because they’ve rolled them up to squeeze them into the boxes they arrived in. Is this normal? Will they ever sort themselves out go back to the correct shape?

Yip. Hairdryer sorts it, had similar with my order from Tesla.

Weights if the folds are really bad and then hairdryer will sort it as the others have said. Had to do this with my boot liner from Tesla which was pretty much rolled up and unusable out of the box.

Do I literally just take the hairdryer to the creases or is there a method to applying the heat?

How were you expecting the rear mat to be delivered if not rolled up? My (non-Tesla) boot mat came rolled up. As did the ones for my previous two cars.

My BMW ones came in plastic bags so that they didn’t need to be rolled up. Not exactly rocket science or something that’s never been done before…

My interior mats came in a massive box, I think the rear was folded over but the front ones flat.

But as others have said, it's not a problem they will go back into shape with a bit of heat from a hairdryer, or just laid out flat with some weights on them and pour in hot water.

The volumetric weight for shipping the mats in large boxes would be huge. It's not the end of the world really, they can be easily reformed. My rear boot liner was like that on delivery.

This is the real reason why the new i4 has a transmission tunnel - not to save BMW development costs and get something out to market quickly, but to save owners delivery cost when ordering mats

Depends if it’s got a spares dept and they are in stock. Some places do, some don’t. Best to call spares dept first. Or have them delivered home from online shop.
